The Prophesy

Standard

In January 2008, God spoke/prophesied to me. He said that if I would move to Clarksville then I could make three times the amount of money I could ever make in Metro Nashville. I’ve never been one who was very materialistic and greedy, but the thought of pursing my dream and being compensated for it was a bit nice!

I immediately turned my focus from pursuing teaching jobs in Nashville and directed it towards Clarksville. I will be the first to tell you that getting closer to home was never a wish of mine. I love my family, but I have always had a desire to live in a city that had more than just a Wal-Mart. It did not take long before I landed a job. I had a phone interview and within 20 minutes, they offered me a job. Now tell me that ain’t God! I stepped out on faith, excepted the job, and put a for sale sign in my yard. Little did I know what lied ahead of me (more details to come).

Fast forward six months…My house is still on the market and I’m driving over two hours a day. I’m mentally and physically exhausted, financially challenged, and living a life of uncertainty. Still I press on! Galations 6:9 says, “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time, we will reap a harvest if we do not give up!”
